Paul, stop playing dumb. You know very well that an 'AMD Inside' sticker on those X-boxes would have been worth MUCH more to AMD than the equivalent 'Intel Inside' sticker will be worth to Intel. Why? Because the AMD is the tiny competitor, and Intel the established behemoth. It's no surprise to see 'Intel Inside' on anything-- it's expected, and everyone has heard of Intel. It's not exactly a radical concept that the PR from a big deal benefits an upstart much more than the gorilla in a particular space. Intel was desperate to prevent AMD from getting that good PR. I wouldn't be surprised if their 11th hour bid was below cost. Doug
