You have to wonder whether the BLS is cooking the employment numbers again. Back in 1992, everything looked okay to Bush and crew. Not until much later did they find out that someone at BLS had been double-counting. The numbers may hit the headlines but the weak election poll numbers for Gore may indicate something is wrong under the surface.
