I talked to Jimmy down at the garage, and he says his cousin is marred to an Airforce fighter pilot and she says that he says they are preparing a top secret plane to be unveiled in the next couple of days.

What do you think Karasick, will it help Lil'Al...

IMO, if Gore had allowed Clinton to actively campaign for him, then he (Gore) could have directed his own campaigning toward the middle. Instead, he booted Clinton out after the first night of the Democratic Convention, then moved his campaign substantially to the left of where Clinton ran.

Clinton, IMO, was/is a political genius. He sensed where the nation was headed, and immediately placed himself at the vanguard of that movement. When the Republicans took over the house in 1994, suddenly Mr. Clinton was the chief advocate of welfare reform.

My greatest respect for Clinton is his advocacy of free trade (NAFTA and WTO) early in his presidency. I don't see a political advantage here. Maybe there was one, I don't know. But those actions convinced me he did stand for something.

Yeah, Gore without Clinton makes the case for "Let's continue what we have now" not quite believable. Gore decided to run for president denying his association with a sitting president who has a higher approval rating than Reagan had at this point in his tenure! That's odd!
