I beg to differ. I think you could have written the same stuff years ago during past elections. For the most part, in our society, business is business, whether from the Industrial times to this new Information Age. I think, these days, however, the market thrives on change more than anything.

If Gore brings change, society will adapt, much like it did with recycling, for example. It's my opinion society needs change and Bush won't bring it, rather he'll build up the same old walls.

And don't you think there's a whole new market these days? Or is it the same old one?

Drug stocks may fall some if Gore gets in but that's about it. You refuse to give credit where credit is due. Rubin-Clinton's refusal to give away a big tax break and pay down the deficit instead is what fueled 8 years of prosperity. Without this interest rates would have never come down the way they did. Bush's plan will certainly deepen our debt and waste more money on interest payments. Inflation will creep back up, then if we hit a recession it's called stagflation. And if you think Bush has any interest in lowering fuel prices think again. He has a vested interest in keeping them high and making sure we steer away from conservation.
