Jim, I had a sigmoidcolonostomy (sp) or somthing like that a couple of weeks ago.. It was a piece of cake. Drank a pint of lemon lime tasting stuff the afternoon before. Liquid diet for a day and then an enema in the am before the test. The test was interesting.. They let me watch the little tv picture as he moved the scope in and out. I had no pain etc. I guess I did have an abundence of gas for about a day.. possibly from the fact that they blow up your colon so they can see the sides. Fritz

P.S. I think Rande's message was in reference to a new pill that replaces the lemon lime drink. I believe too, that it might be that they used to or some places still have the patient mix up about a gallon of poor tasting stuff and have you drink the whole works a glass at a time over about a half hour time period.. this is too ment to flush and clean you out.. An employee of mine said she had to do this several years ago and didn't like it at all.. She goes to the same group clinic I do.. so would apprear there's been a change. As I said, I got to watch on a color tv.. I wish it had lasted longer so I could have seenmore and asked more questions. heh.. or at least brought home a video. Fritz
