You know, it does sound reminiscent of the problems Intel had with ceramic chip packages for the PIII early in the year. Weren't they flat out dropped by one of the major suppliers (sumitomo?) because they insisted on a better deal than everyone else was getting? And they wound up with big temporary drop in capacity.

I guess it was just one more lesson not learned.
