CBS) Jonathan Lebed promised the Securities and Exchange Commission he wouldn't manipulate stock prices anymore but he tells Correspondent Steve Kroft that there's nothing wrong with it.

RE: "he should have kept the money"....

Do you mean he shouldn't have settled with the SEC? If I were him or his parents I would consider myself lucky if what has happened so far is all that happens.

I think the justice department should pursue criminal charges. I also think the father knows a whole lot more than he lets on. He said that even after the kid was over half a million ahead he didn't know how he was doing it. He said he didn't want to jinx him by getting involved. That's a laugh but you can't blame the adult because he knows they won't do much to a kid.

If the boy gets probation and the Dad (or maybe Mom) gets a few months in jail I think justice will have been served. If they don't you can expect this sort of illegal touting to increase even more. It's kind of like all of the fines you see levied by the SEC now. The crooks consider it just a part of doing business. If there was more of a chance of going to jail we would have a more honest market.

The money he has paid so far is enough, after taxes and lawyer fees he isn't going to have a whole lot of the 800K left (if that is all he made.)
