I agree that in the past CSCO losing market share in any market was unheard of. Of course in the high end routing market CSCO owned 80%+ percent so I suspect it was simply a matter of time until CSCO relinquinshed some of that share. Still I think your position that CSCO market share is now there to be taken may be a bit strong. JNPR's success is mostly due to the fact that they have 10G interfaces. CSCO is late here. Once this gap is close I suspect that it will be equally difficult for JNPR to gain share. Given that JNPR is targeting only one market one would hope they would execute. CSCO isn't doing poorly either - and given that their executing on about 30 different fronts I find them more amazing... especially given JNPR's ridiculous valuation.
