Aus,

I would argue that it is that bad. A company that fails to recognize the basic needs of its investors portrays a bad image.

The Palm website is very investor-focused. Listen to a Palm conference call, and you have no doubt about the company's achievements, goals, problems, and long-term visions. (I use Palm only to illustrate my point.)

I have tried to contact SanDisk about this very issue for 2-3 quarters now. It really isn't that big of a deal to put the cc on the web. I am invested in a number of smaller cap companies that have the info readily available.

I can not rule out the analogy that if SanDisk is not responsive to investors' requests, then perhaps they are not responsive to other parties (vendors, customers, etc.).
I want a company that I invest in to be responsive. Not tomorrow, but today. I'm getting tired of my only contact with the CEO being a picture of him on Yahoo Finance holding up a flash memory card. :)

Listening to a conference call is vital to successfully understanding a company in today's ever-changing business environment. Especially due to the new law that everyone is informed at the same time, a SanDisk investor needs corporate information.

The fundamentals appear to be intact with SanDisk right now. But I am not comfortable of recognizing when the fundamentals have changed due to the reluctance of SanDisk's management to put the conference call on the web.
Thus my reluctance to overweight the stock.
