Gore won two out of three debates according to polls.
Yet it didn't help him.

Just wanted to repost that to embarrass you - it's that stupid.

<<Gore won two out of three debates according to polls.
Yet it didn't help him. No one quite understands this except that Bush didn't babble and blunder and his manner appealed to middle America more than Gore's did. The people are now steering a little toward Bush based on personality not issues. Gore still commands the winning issues but he needs to get that through. In comparison, Bush is a lesser Reagan and Gore is a greater Mondale. Reagan won on personality but this time it's going to be a lot closer, especially if Nader voters switch to Gore in the end.
Nader has become a very very big issue now. He could be the George Wallace of this election. That would be a tragedy for his supporters and Gore's if it happens because Nader voters detest Bush's principals.>>

Some of the opinion polls I have see give it to Bush on the issues as well. Someone posted an article that stated many liberals felt betrayed by Gore. Maybe this is their form of protest.

I saw part of a Nader speech on tonight's news. Nader dislikes/distrusts Gore more than Bush and if anything, Nader supporters based on his comments are more likely to switch to Bush. Actually I was quite surprised when I heard his statements.
