Interesting to see if the antitrust regulators force GE to divest itself of any one of its divisions and, if so, how the shareholders will benefit. In any case, it's a big plus to have JW stay on through 2001. Further, the merger will clear the landscape, according to what I've read somewhere today, as GE is to name a #2 to JW within the next several weeks. If so, that should end the guessing game on JW's successor. Good fortune to all longs.
