To All: A curiosity question.
Would it be possible for a class action suit to be started against these brokers who have their analysts issue an upgrade on a stock and the brokerage is selling right into the market rise (usually on the same day)? I have seen it happen, and it has been discussed here, could they be sued by investors who bought on the upgrade?
I can only picture a judge and jury being appalled at the behavior. I should think that being forced to pay for their behavior (and hopefully punitive damages) would be a great step in eliminating it.
All the Best
