mark, I knew you were not misinterpreting shalom's post, but just wanted to put in my two cents worth. Your second paragraph is, in a way, a testament to how Christianity should be, and was before mere mortals started messing around with the basic concepts of Jesus Christ. It is the denominational bickering that drove me away from Christianity many years ago, and it was not until Jesus saved me from the brink of hell, that I knew the direction I must take for the rest of my life. If I were to go into detail of what happened, most people would not believe it, but I know what happened to me, and although I cannot say that I set eyes on Jesus, I felt His presence very strongly. I can understand your criticisms of the denominational foibles of Christianity, but believe from what I have read in your words, that were you to take the step of accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you would make a wonderful Christian. ~;=;o --haqi
