Victor: I agree that natural gas has come out of the shadow of oil. It was always a follow on market. Now it is a market in its own right. I applaud the shift. But it is nowhere near enough to offset our vulnerability. Watch the soaring natural gas prices -- they are still deeply influenced by the price of oil.

Victor: I can see the logic of starting to buy some stock again. We have had quite a big readjustment in prices due to the oil concern issues already. If the peace process did not break down, I think we would be on solid ground. This means there is still a pretty big cloud on the horizon, and the degree to which the economy will slow, and the direction of interest rates also provides some uncertainty. In early September my conclusion was to encourage selling stock. Now I think it is more a matter of stepping back in with an eye to the risks. Perhaps this just means approaching with some caution and keeping cash on hand. Good luck.
