tradermike, they created a soft landing in 94, and i agree with you we've just been in a massive bubble, the real estate bubble in the 80's created the recession of the early 90's and i believe the stock market has the possibility to do that this time around also, but the real estate bubble had wider impact than the stock market bubble of 2000 - so far, now if the stock market went down to nas 1300 like the nikkei did on 1990 (comparative correction - 1987 lows vs 1998 lows), that might be different.

but with the nas holding 3000, yur mom and pop investor haven't been crushed and stopped from doing their shopping at macy's, only your stoopid speculators.
