You are confused.

The MTH was an interface chip designed to allow RDRAM controllers to work with cheaper SDRAM memory - for COST REDUCTION - not for performance - and NOT FOR RAMBUS MEMORY - A FACT THAT YOU CANNOT SEEM TO GRASP .

The MTH was buggy and Intel could never get it to work.

Ergo, there was no path to cost reduction when an DRDRAM chip set/controller was used - and THIS KILLED TIMNA.
