Sounds like you should sell all of your csco shares, ML, but let me suggest you wait until their earnings report. Many of the assumptions that are being made during this quiet period, which usually coincides with one of Barrons' recycled attacks, may prove to be unfounded.

Gorilla Game dynamics say that this won't happen, not without a discontinuous innovation. The sectors I believe you're referencing (high end routers and optical transport) are both in the early stages of build out. IMO, it's a little too soon to write off Cisco.

Cisco reports on November 6 after the bell. The law of large numbers says they should have slowing growth rate, but it has actually been accelerating over the past 3 quarters. The top line will tell the story in two weeks.

gdichaz posted an interesting accounting article (32160) and I don't recall any subsequent discussion by the thread.
I thought it was a very interesting article that deserved some attention.

Since, you and UF are scrutinizing CSCO could you possibly comment? Please, please. :-)
