Mark Haines just tore apart Mary Meeker and another analyst on the basis that they were basicly pounding the table on the internet/tech stocks at the top.

Mary's rebuttal was basicly the long-term view.

As I have stated in the past, if an analyst cannot help their clients get out closer to an important TOP, there is no need for them.

Lets go on the basis that all tough times will get worked out, as it was after the Depression and the bear market of the 1970 and after all smaller bear markets/phases. So lets say that eventually the market will continue up. Yes it is possible for long bear markets, but they too will end and with the spirit of us humans will bring us out of the duldrums - eventually.

So do we need these high paying analysts to tell us, that if there is a bear market/big decline that eventually we will recover - just a matter of time. WE ALL KNOW THAT ALREADY. We need analysts to help people get out near highs and buy at lows, not tell us that eventually - if one can hold on long enough the market will come back. REPEAT - WE KNOW THAT ALREADY!!!!!!!

These analyst will continue to do what they are doing until the public speaks out enough. In that respect I compliment MARK HAINES on his firm approach to Mary Meeker and the other analyst.
