I guess we went down the wrong road from the get go, by producing our own code for the chat rooms and proprietary stock charts. Then again, maybe the site will be valuable one day simply because of the technology. If you look at most of the other sites, they are essentially static pages that contain crude message boards and such. If there is a chat room, typically it's a Java chat with no archiving, or the ones that collect money always use chatspace.com where they do everything on chatspace servers. Oh well, I guess this forces us to become an exclusive, private site in the near future, when it comes to the proprietary products. It's a good thing that I never set out to beat 'em, and now I can't join 'em. Witness the birth of a new Internet business model, courtesy of a hacker. Teresa
