Check Western Europe Monty.. they have a lot of the same if not more gov't involvement then Canada does.. but they are also free market. Canada and Western Europe are no more socialist then George Bush is a Democrat. Socially aware and socially active, yes.. socialist..? hardly.

An accurate description might not be socialist or not socialist, but more of spectrum, more socialist or less socialist. Canada and Western Europe do have large parts of their economy under socialist control (even in the US education is largely socialist), but there is a difference between Canada and Sweden, or between Sweden and North Korea.

Your definition of socialism amuses me Monty

Well nothing amuses me about left wing communist pinko's who think I have to share what I work hard for with AH that don't want to work and want to live off MY money. Now if they want to work and try I am for helping but otherwise the hell with them and the horse they rode in on. ..!.

"because I deemed that comment not worthy of a reply"

Only because you know it is about as sane as what you endorse.

Put whatever name on it you want but it is what it is.
