Thanks, Earlie.

Incidentally, I have just posted the following suggestion to SI. Nothing urgent, but possibly useful:

Of course, SI is already excellent.

I really wish there were a way to search all of my own postings. They are all there
somewhere or another, but some threads have more than 100,000 messages and it is very
hard to go back and scroll through thousands of posting heads in blocks of 40. But
sometimes I have posted links long ago and then find that I would like to check them out
again.

Something else that would help a lot for this kind of research would be to have the option
of looking at more than 40 heads or more than 10 messages at once.

You might poll some other members and see if they think it would be worth the time to set
up these options. These, and possiobly some other indexing changes, would make SI a
terrifically useful database for researchers who wanted to focus on one topic.

Earlie,

Even Dataquest is mentioning increasing inventories, so I think we can all smell stuffing:

yahoo.cnet.com

Incidentally, this headline of this piece is to tell us the good news that PC sales are estimated to rise 16% in 2000. In units, of course. No mention of revenues. Do you have a feel for what that 16% rise, supposing it's right, will mean to revenues?
