>>I'll bet most of the people on this thread who keep checking on it are old timers who are probably still holding a large exposure to CTXS. I have been long since January 1997. We were all clobbered in June.

Guilty as charged. Fortunately, I'm still in the black on all shares, but I liked it more when they represented two commas worth of value instead of just one. We were all fools to not bail out when it was over $100 - the market capitalization and P/E were nothing short of absurd. I was mesmerized, and greed cost me a pretty penny.

I agree with Red that this is the price for "moving to the big leagues". It would have been far less painless had management been up front about the revenue hit that would occur from eliminating channel inventory and the longer closing cycle on e-licensing.

A lot of analysts and portfolio managers got burned in a big big way, and they will punish CTXS to make sure they learn a hard lesson. However, once the revenue growth kicks in again, it'll be back to the business of making money, and the fund managers will flock to CTXS like fleas to... to... well, you get my meaning.

Meanwhile, I'm continuing to accumulate on dips into the 'teens.
