One small point... Verizon doesn't have to "buy" Genuity
back... it just has to convert its shares... its purely
a paper transaction, not a dime comes out of Verizon's
pocket. In the meantime, Genuity needs to raise capital
in order to keep the network build-out on track... the
low price of GENU shares doesn't help them do that.

But yes, the overall strategy is indeed clever.
