I think you're correct there. I'm *not* an accounting expert. All I know is that pooling of interests results in *no* representative charge, but purchases result in what you'd expect. I think it has to be spread out over a period of time - depreciated like any other major capital expense.

This may not be all that important in reality - they will just continue to issue "pro-forma" numbers to the public. Unless the "New Era" investor, with all this access to data, actually begins to ask the question:

"Why does Sickso give me one number, when they tell the SEC a completely different number? And what does the minus sign in front of the earnings mean?" <ggggg>

One can only hope for a little enlightenment...
