The stocks will move in locked steps. Honeywell goes up; GE goes up.

Close, but you've got it backwards. HON is the tail, GE is the dog wagging that tail. After the arbitrage transactions are completed, the two will move in lock step with HON increasing slightly faster and slowly closing the gap as the buyout data approaches.
