andreas, VIA Apollo PRO DDR motherboard "schneller aus Rambus." That's not really surprising, and the perfomance delta vs. Rambus on their limited benchmark set was only 1 to 4%. The games averaged 2% faster for PC266.

Unfortunately we don't know if VIA Apollo PRO 266 is "schneller aus i815," since they only compared it to RDRAM 800 and Via Apollo Pro 133.

As I recall, even the vast majority of Intel's benchmarks show i815 with PC133 faster than Rambus.

Andreas, those punkte don't look that impressive. Especially considering the 820/ Apollo Pro 133 comparison, those chipsets aren't the strongest competition. I'm glad AMD is not totally dependent on VIA on that front.

Cheers, Dan.

Those benchmarks don't look too hot. Even the i815 pulls better numbers than these. And how would they compare against the P4 with dual channel? If that is all DDR can do, then I think they are in deeper trouble than anyone previously thought.
