. I know you did not say anything in that regard, but i have gleamed from you comments, that you are less than impressed with glw.

It's not that I'm not impressed with GLW --- I actually am --- I just don't see it as a pure play the way SDLI and JDSU are. GLW's done a marvelous job of re-positioning itself for the high-end fiber optics 'revolution' (unlike another vendor who's making headlines this morning). They are smart, savvy, and amazingly agile. Having said this, I'm quite certain one of the reasons SDL went with JDSU was due to their being not just equally smart and savvy but being even more agile.

GLW has lots of room to grow, as witnessed by their comments in the CC re: adding capacity. This is a two-year process and they're adding as fast as they can.

Some wondered why they didn't guide higher. I believe the answer's as simple as asking yourself if you'd rather get to the end of the quarter and have to announce a downgrade or upgrade.

Tomorrow we get NT's numbers and if they come in as I expect, the sector will get the attention it deserves. That is if the creek don't rise and the cows come home. :)
