I have heard the same basic bear predictions on SI every day since I joined in February 1997. When the markets go up they are misunderstood, unappreciated, etc. When the markets go down they declare "game over" and start crowing about their genius. Then the markets cycle up again....and they are back to being misunderstood and unappreciated. Most permabulls have seen enough setbacks this year not to be cocky. I am looking at overall sentiment where it is now fashionable to go with the herd and be a bear. Makes me think a bottom is close it not in already. It's all just guesswork, though. Most market direction discussion is a waste of bandwidth unless you are really bored.
