Excellent point. No surprise that the Boston Globe (owned by the NYT) would go for Gore. The other point the editorial misses is that unlike the Reagan years, the Congress should still be controlled by the Repubs. The same folks who balanced the budget. During the regan years, tax cuts spurred huge increaes in federal revenues but the profligate Dem Congress spent every penny and more. It should be different this time. JLA
