Dear Shalom, In this post you said 2 times that reasons people have for not accepting the Lord are lame reasons. How can you lead them and meet their concerns if you do not accept them as being a real concern for them. Jewish people usually do have to face complete rejection from friends and family to accept Jesus as Lord. When they get down to it many do not want to take this chance because of the history of hostility done in the name of Jesus. This is not a bitterness but a reality. To most Jews anyone that is not a Jew or a muslim is a Christian. Sad but true in their exposure. This includes some really bad people and when a Christian makes statements that resemble NON Christians it compounds this problem. I know people like Dan and others are far from anti Semitic and I know they are loving people but some refuse to hear how things may be misunderstood. Paul said without love it is all nothing. If we can not be gentle, patient, kind etc... it is all for nothing. It is not necessary to bend the truth to be loving. Jesus spoke in truth with love. I am sensitive toward all non believers because I want them to see the mercy and grace of our Lord not judgment and hostility. It was His love that drew me to Him. <<The revelation of Christ's love and His sacrifice cannot come upon any man and be ignored for any reason.>> It took me awhile before this became a reality for me but God was patient and kind with me. <<I pray that you see through all the excuses...( and God knows they are endless)... we as Christians are given by others as to why they do not accept the most Loving and gracious gift God ever gave the world.>> I think by accepting them we can see where the excuses are coming from and work with them. I usually point out many sincere Christians like Billy Graham and others that strongly contrast the anti Semites and pray for them to see. The Lord is the one that really does everything all I do is pray and serve Him the best I can. I can see we approach this area differently and I praise Him that He has many people in the harvest working. 1 Cor. 13 4 Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, 5 it is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth 7 it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
