I agree. He went to to toe on foreign policy with Gore and he came off really well. JLA

"really well"? Why, because he just learned how to pronounce the names of some foreign leaders? Boy, have we set the bar low!

All I heard were bromides backed by no evidence of thought or understanding -- "we'll pursue our national interests", etc. The one foreign adventure he liked in the debates -- the American intervention in Lebanon under Reagan -- was a disaster that left 240 Marines dead and set a terrible precedent of American weakness.

Oh, I forgot, that's supposed to be okay because he'll have Dad's advisors, Cheney and Powell. Do they have a strategic vision for the 21st century? or will they continue to fight the Cold War? And how will W. decide what to do if they disagree?

Don't get me wrong, I think that W. would make a fine Commissioner of Baseball. He's just ludicrously unprepared to be President of the United States.
