I agree. That article was hogwash, IMO. I want DSL, but according to the local supplier there are too many other people that want it to get it to everyone at the same time. The buildout is progressing, but not fast enough for the end user. The idea that the end user doesn't want DSL is ridiculous. Same thing applies to Broadband. The end user wants Broadband and the probable applications. The technology and infrastructure isn't available yet.

It's not a question of the end user wanting these services, it's a matter of getting them in place. IMO
