Assuming turnout was low it would tend to indicate people were happy and not looking for a change. JLA

What difference does it make? Was Clinton's first election any less valid because more than 50% of the voters voted for someone else. Find another hook to hang your hat on.

Just like some school districts spend record amounts of money per pupil and still have lousy results, so money is not always the issue.
