Don't agree about hurricanes, they're lots of fun, and exciting. Each time I make a major move I seem to run into one. Starting with Ontario in 54, then Vancouver in the early 60's, and finally Maui in the early 80's. The beach was about three feet lower the next day.

I think you'll find the various governments insist on being convinced that you genuinely need to emigrate, and not just to evade or even avoid taxes. You cannot retain real estate, or golf club memberships, or bank accounts or whatever. Obstacles quickly appear if they think you're trying to do what you're trying to do.

Why don't you let me send you the book anyway since I am finished with it. It's not as easy as some would have you believe......Usually those who want a fee for sorting out just a few details for you. It was quite thorough as I recall and even if it's out of date it's a starting point for thinking. Friend of mine had an in-law go the route and by the time she got out of Canada she felt like a trained seal having jumped through so many hoops.

Let me know.

P.S. Edit.... The price is right, I'll be glad to donate it, and the postage. Maybe I can claim it as a deductable donation??? LOL

Consider it done. No need for a check. Let's thnk of it as afriendly gesture between the English and the Irish, of which there have been too few.
Cheers
