My point is that I don't know how people on this board can speculate on clock speeds for P4 when all they have to go on are architectural descriptions. They don't know how many logic levels there are between latches, the speed of the transistors being implemented now and when the product is released, whether special clocking techniques are employed, etc.

For a guy to drop in here, ask one or two questions, get a response from the guys that have just the architectural descriptions to go on (who have a pro AMD, anti Intel bias, BTW) and then make a buy/sell/hold stock decision, is pretty off the wall. I was just trying to put up the other argument, that P4 frequency scaling sounds very good. Equal time, you might say, since it's political season.
