So true and I see it everyday. It's amazing to me how many people who "wannabe" a trader and they are getting killed in this market. They refuse to admit that it takes more than buying and selling cause they started out in the great bull market and that's what they did.

When I talk about money management they tend to laugh and say something like "well I'm a gambler" as though that is a status thing. I quickly tell them that I am not a gambler in the sense of the word. This is a business for me and of course everything is a gamble. However, I don't operate as in throwing the dice and hoping the nos. come out right.

Many wannabe traders don't understand that planning and managing (for me anyway) removes some of the "gamble".

AND they can't comprehend that to be a sucessful trader requires a lot of hard work in the learning process. At least is did and is for me and I'll always be a student.
