Bob, I don't know whether you saw it, but amid all the rubbish on yahoo, someone posted a link to an interview with Bob Goldman that appeared on the Bloomberg web site. He was actually talking about the possibility that the company might spin-off the database business and keep the B2B business. Like some of the folk at yahoo, I struggle to see how that would be a good idea.

ObjectStore is a great product and I find it very hard to understand whether the company views it as giving them a competitive advantage or not. Of course we all know that it didn't turn into huge dollars for the stock holders, but does the company believe that it could generate a lot of revenue (either directly, or indirectly through the B2B products)? I honestly don't understand what the strategy is. For example, some on Yahoo have suggested that the B2B products could end up supporting RDBMS as the back-end storage solution. If so, what is it that gives this company a competitive advantage?
