GV, Re: NSM

I guess Osha's $100 price target is toast.

Did you notice that there were no chip stocks on ML's latest incarnation of a top 10 tech list. I found it strange (but, predictable) that on a list of stocks expected to outperform over the next 6-12 months, one stock was selected even though its price target suggested upside of only $1.75 or 7%.

GV,

re: NSM PR - "Shipments in the current quarter will be impacted by inventory corrections being made by some of our customers in the mobile phone market. Bookings for personal computer products have strengthened, but at a lower rate than seasonally expected."

It will be interesting to see how Intel reacts. They have already lowered Q4 expectations with 4% - 8% (?) sequential growth forecast. Cell phone guys like MOT should take a hit.

John

According to Yahoo, NSM's last earnings report was Sept. 7. So, they should be up next around Dec. 7. Pretty early warning.
