major difference between Brinker and the other bears is that the others have been bearish, in some cases, for many years

Another shining exception is Don Hays. He was 100% bullish until 98, then turned bearish on tech stocks a little early. But he has called this year very accurately, and his 30-year record as a market strategist is excellent. His medium-term views are very similar to Brinker... Nasdaq goes below 2000 sometime in 2001, then a new bull market.
