excardog,

I believe your experience is probably typical of desirable areas to live, work and play....From my personal experiences and what I gather from other sources..

A little town just above us, Truckee Ca.. has been over run with hi tech money from the Bay area freezing many locals out of affordable housing.. .

It's just the way it goes, I guess..

Good luck in your decision.. We are also currently thinking of taking the money and running..

We've yet to put forth any opinions regarding the upcoming election and the candidates proposals for this purported budget surplus. I've seen the trillion dollar number floating around like it's chump change.

I'm of the opinion lots of this surplus was created by people cashing in stock options and sending their fair share to Uncle Sam. I'm doubtful this year is going to provide the same sort of receipts as 99. Lower tax revenue combined with candidates increased spending plans should create some sort of problem. No?

For future reference consider me in the demand now exceeds supply on the oil front. I'll stay there until proven wrong.
