Now, if i was the lu board, and i needed a ceo, and he/she had to have strong FO experience, and a good track record, and great respect within the business and investment communities, and he/she might be someone who was in a spot where they might consider a new job, filled with great challenges, i think i might just call a guy named Don Scifres. What about it? Too far fetched? Remember, it wasn't that long ago that no one thought he would sell sdli.

What role do you see Mr. Scifres playing in the merged JDSU? Might he take up Kalkhoven's JDSU mantle or might he follow Hospitalman's musing and look for an entirely new company or might he "spend more time with his family"?
