BLS, FON & WCOM lease or own most all of the MDS spectrim in the major metro's from acquisitions made for digital video by BLS 3-4 years ago and for high speed access last year two years by the IXC's. NCNX was sole company not bought by IXC's during their shopping spree as it is mainly
a rural south central market play. Austin is one of its few
large tech markets. Not being hammered down because of LD biz, it is possible that NCNX is better poised to exploit
MDS high speed access but a lot of DD required on issues like Cisco readiness to volume rollout its ODFM product,
NCNX financial position, cable modem/dsl status in NCNX markets, NCNX penetration to date in its HSA markets.
