I didn't give credit to any politician for the economy. You did. The economic expansion grew out of the wringing out of excesses of the prior expansion, just the 80's expansion and prior expansions. Credit expansions beget economic expansion and bubbles like now.

As for Reagan, taxes on the wealthy rose after his supposed tax cut. They paid a higher proportion since then

As for the tax brackets being more friendly to lower incomes since, the 31% tax bracket begins at a mere $ 25,000. The Democrats basically prefer high income tax rates for all, and then to redistribute afterwards based on special interests.
