It appears the hedgies may run AMZN today ahead of the qtr. Interesting to see if any real short-covering occurs. Long for a trade.

low 40 area. Do you think it's worth the risk to buy some
ST options ahead of its earning? I still want to wait and
play the Q4 number, not Q3's

William, HP was likely a higher than average $$ loser for amzn. Chances are HP was ordered mostly alone, as a single item. Also AMZN offered free shipping and other discounts on HP; why, I do not know.
