As for Japan clearing the tables and getting on with the work at hand: you make it sound ever so easy: try telling that to the masses of laid of salary men who will commit hari-kari in hopes of an insurance settlemet that wont materialize as the company already went bust...

<geez...that article is ages old...in any case, the quicker the weak players in Japan collapse, the better. once the malinvestments are cleared out and the bad loans written off, the Japanese economy can begin to recover....
