No one escapes blameless for the problem of the homeless. As we age and become more promiscuous and as better drugs are developed more and more people can live independently and will have too. Kick you pregnant daughter out on the street. Kick your drunken, drug crazed kid out. Evict those who can't pay rent from their rooms. Refuse hospital admission to the uninsured. Kick bums out of shelters after a month. Kick welfare recipients off the rolls. Turn the drunks out of the drunk tanks. Release long-term convicts. If you are fortunate enough to live in a cold climate, with any luck at all a lot will die or drift into warmer climes. In Hawaii, thousands build cardboard shacks on the beach, or in the rocks, or sleep in bus stops, parks or door ways. The weather if comfortable, garbage bags keep off the rain. People are generous. The homeless are kill each other. It is not as bad as Brazil. The cops haven't started killing the kids yet.
