I'm thinking of running out and getting some of those patches. A friend of mine quit for almost a year. Used the patch for about 1 week or two. But now he smokes again. I think all anyone needs is the determination to stop and they will be successful. My dad did it, cold turkey after smoking for 30 years(same kind as me). He promised his mom that he's quit for his 50 th birthday. She died(of old age) a few months before his 50th. He stopped two days after she died.
