Lerxst,

I have no doubt that JNPR will continue to do well... they are a great company and they will continue to innovate and grow their business. At the same time CSCO is a great company as well and they continue to innovate and acquire and attack new markets. NT is also a good company and continues to dominate the 10G optical marketplace. I, unlike Telecomguy, believe all these companies will do well. I have voted with my money (although I'm no longer in JNPR because I believe the valuation is out of control). To think that there will be only one winner is simply ludicrous. That's my two cents.

As for CSCO's ability to deliver line rate 10G - they're smart guys... I'm sure they can figure it out... ;) As Telecomguy will tell you - I'm not a big believer in "brut force bandwidth deliver" as a long term model... I think a company - long term - has to be focused on service delivery to succeed. I think CSCO understands this model as well - perhaps better - than anybody.
