It sounds as though T is following the advice of one its defectors (David Isenberg of stupid networking fame, see isen.com) in disintegrating itself, seeking more horizontal lines of business. Vertical integration, when taken to extremes, proves only to tie one up in knots, as has been clearly demonstrated with our case in point. The only question is, is it just a bit too late for T to recreate "themselves" in the way of four new startups in service sectors that are already being served well, if not overcrowdedly well for the most part, by others who came up much later in the game, and who have less baggage to haul?
