I've followed tax selling for a number of years and institutions tend to have a much greater impact in terms of tax related selling pressure in individual issues. Yes end of year may have a minor effect however I feel as though we will be significantly higher by year end thus some of that selling will/may be deferred. As I mentioned earlier tax selling pressure tends to hit a peak at or around October 20.

The passage of time should bear this out...this time of year tends to provide some of the best opportunities to buy shares in great companies that have been beaten down. The analysts will soon change their tune regarding the market.
